Serving Others

Spreading God’s Message of hope and love…both near and far

Mission Partners

With sleeves rolled up and hearts wide open, we pour our passion and energy into serving others. From providing financial support to lending a hand as volunteers, we love reaching out to make a difference. Here are the wide range of organizations we humbly serve as mission partners:

Stephen Ministry

At Wilton Congregational Church, we’re here for you with Stephen Ministry – one-on-one Christ-centered care for times when individuals are facing life’s challenges. Led by trained Stephen Leaders, we have caring members who offer support to those in need, meeting once a week with an individual for about an hour. You don't have to go through tough times alone. We’ll walk right alongside you. Contact one of our co-pastors for more information.

Stephen Leaders:  Gil Bray, Deborah Garber, Rev. Caroline Ainsworth Hughes, Ann Newton, Rev. Suzanne Wagner.

Stephen Ministers: Marie Broderick, Paul Hannah, Rose Havron, Dick King, Kathy Scheller, Jerry Sprole, Ian Tesar.

Youth & Service

Christian service at Wilton Congregational Church brings us closer to God and each other, changing lives along the way. Students discover that we’re all equally loved and worthy as God’s children.

Kids spread joy by sharing blessings through projects like packing gift boxes for foster kids, fundraising for Thanksgiving meals, and sending Valentines to veterans. Teens have their own service activities, preparing meals for soup kitchens and partnering with local organizations. On Youth Mission Trips, our teens work hard to repair homes, replant gardens, and embrace the communities they serve.

Youth Mission Trip

Mission Trips provide an opportunity for Wilton Congregational youth to put faith into action. On our annual Youth Mission Trip, teens travel to communities where God is already at work helping to transform lives and change the world. Our youth get the chance to embody Christ’s call to serve others and live into the beloved community. Youth Mission Trip experiences are formative and enduring. Working in adult-led teams, teens rise early and work throughout the day to repair homes, replant gardens, and integrate into the community. Together, teens and their partner community explore faith in a rich and transformative exchange. For details, contact Rev. Caroline Ainsworth Hughes at caroline@wiltoncongregational.org or through the church office at 203-762-5591.
