Music is a celebration of praise that opens a doorway to the soul.  Exhilarating, reassuring and contemplative, it’s an integral part of our worship and parish life.  Long before churches existed, people worshipped through music and movement, expressing their joy and sorrow through song and dance.  Each of us has a spirit within yearning to respond to the Spirit that surrounds us.  Connect with that natural joy, energy and radiance by joining one of our musical ensembles.

Cherub Choir
Our youngest vocalists bring delight and hope to all fortunate enough to hear them.  The Cherub Choir is for our youngest singers in Kindergarten through second grade.  During these choir rehearsals, the children express their faith with melodies sung around the world.  In the process, musical lessons are learned, vocal talents nurtured, friendships forged and their relationships with the church deepened.
Youth Choir
The joy of singing and performing continues as youth in grades 6th through 8th graduate into the Youth Choir.  Students build upon the foundations learned during their years in the Children’s Choir, expanding their talents and repertoire as they “sing and ring.”  In addition to sharing their vocal talents, choir members learn to play the church’s extraordinary English handbells and perform during select Sunday worship services.
Adult Choir
Music makes worship come alive and allows us to feel God’s presence in ways words alone can’t.  Traditional hymns are central to WCC’s musical program, while upbeat, soulful strains of spirituals, jazz, gospel and contemporary music bring new dimension to services.  The Adult Choir performs every Sunday from September through May and during special services.  Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM and Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM.  Our beautiful Austin-Wicks pipe organ compliments both congregation and choir in hymns, anthems and service music.
Soul Celebration Band
If upbeat rhythms are more your style, consider joining the Soul Celebration Band.  The band leads WCC’s contemporary worship service, performing an eclectic blend of modern musical styles ranging from bluegrass to rock, gospel to pop, funk to jazzed-up hymns.  The atmosphere is decidedly casual and electrically charged, a lively alternative to Sunday’s more traditional musical offering.  Soul Celebration worship is held one Saturday each month at 5:00 PM, and the band meets to rehearse prior to the services at 3:30 PM.  Bring your instrument, your voice and your enthusiasm, and get ready to kick things up a notch.

Show Up & Sing Chorus
There’s no more joyous sound than a group of people praising God through song.  With a melody in their hearts, the Show Up & Sing Chorus comes together one Sunday a month for the sheer delight of doing just that.  Simply arrive at 9:00 AM, an hour before the service, to rehearse.  The musical selections are familiar and the camaraderie fun.  Sing once in a while or every month—the choice is yours.  No robes, no evening rehearsals, no commitment.  Just pure musical joy.

Men’s Canticle
The Canticle Choir is an all-men’s ensemble that performs a variety of musical genres, focusing on a cappella arrangements.  Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM and all tenors, baritones and basses are welcome to join.  The Men’s Canticle is a fun-loving group who derives great joy from joining their voices in song.
English Handbell Choir & Rookie Ringers
There’s nothing quite as enchanting as the grace-filled tones of English handbells. WCC is blessed with two choirs that bring to life our four-octave Schulmerich Handbells and three-octave Mallmark tone chimes.  Middle schoolers participating in the Youth Choir also comprise the Rookie Ringers handbell choir, delighting the congregation during select Sunday worship with lively performances throughout the year.  Rehearsals for these “singers and ringers” take place during their regularly scheduled Choir practices.

The adult English Handbell Choir performs monthly during worship, filling the sanctuary with ambitious and beautiful strains from various musical genres. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings at 7:00 PM and focus on listening, playing, creating, and moving.  The Handbell Choir occasionally takes to the road, performing at local holiday events and special concerts.
